Ayr United 1-1 Queen of the South

Ayr United remained two points above Scottish First Division bottom club Queen of the South after fighting back to claim a draw.

Sam Parkin headed straight at Ayr goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert before the hosts' Mark Roberts fired wide.

The deadlock was broken with 14 minutes remaining when Queens' Scott McLaughlin steered home after his initial shot had been saved.

But Ayr substitute Michael Moffat netted following good work by Roberts five mintues from the end.
