Accrington 0-4 Plymouth

Paul Cook saw his Accrington side thrashed by Plymouth in his first game in charge.

On-loan Burnley striker Alex MacDonald put the visitors ahead, finishing neatly after exchanging passes with Nick Chadwick on the edge of the area.

MacDonald added a second after Chadwick's long range effort was parried by home keeper Ian Dunbavin.

Darren Purse headed in a third from Paul Wotton's free kick, and substitute Luke Daley fired in the fourth.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher told BBC Radio Devon:

"Towards the end of the game when you're a few goals up it can be difficult, you could see the lads didn't want to concede.

Fletcher pleased with clean sheet

"Away wins are so hard to come by in any division, so it's nice to get one.

"We weren't one hundred per cent sure because they've got a new manager in, but we were solid, we scored goals and we got a clean sheet.

"There's always things you can improve on. We won't get carried away with it, we'll go back to work on Monday and get on with it."
