Arbroath 4-1 Forfar Athletic

Steven Doris scored a hat-trick as Arbroath beat Forfar Athletic and moved to within two points of Scottish Second Division leaders Cowdenbeath.

It was the visitors who took the lead, Bradley Coyne's drive from the edge of the box finding the net.

But Collin Samuel soon levelled after latching on to Craig Wedderburn's pass and firing past Marc McCallum.

Samuel set up Doris to put the hosts ahead on 44 minutes and the latter netted again from close range just before half-time.

Chris Templeman and Coyne missed decent chances as Forfar tried to force their way back into the match.

And Doris had the final say, converting Gavin Swankie's cross 18 minutes from the end.
