Jersey Wanderers go second in the Premiership

Jersey Wanderers have gone second in Jersey's Premiership after a 5-3 win over bottom club First Tower United.

Jay Reid (2), Chris Andrews, Joe Murphy and Jamie Savory grabbed the goals for Wanderers, while Michael Le Turgeon (2) and Jon Carter netted for United.

Wanderers have slim title hopes but need to win their last five games and hope runaway leaders Jersey Scottish slip up.

Elsewhere St Peter's title hopes were dashed with a 4-3 defeat at St Paul's.

The loss means they drop to fourth spot in the table and can no longer catch Scottish.

Meanwhile Rozel Rovers battled out a goalless draw with 10-man St Ouen who had Lucas Parker sent off for offensive language.

The point pulls both teams further away from the relegation zone.
