St Brelade go further clear in Jersey Championship

St Brelade have gone four points clear at the top of Jersey's Championship after a 2-0 win at title rivals St Lawrence.

David Streets and Scott Walsh netted in the second half to clinch St Brelade's fifth consecutive league win.

They have a game in hand on St Lawrence and third-placed St Martin, who lost 2-1 against struggling Magpies.

Meanwhile, Beeches OB thumped bottom club Sporting Academics 7-2 with Jonny Gough and Dave Nolan grabbing braces.

Elsewhere, St John were 2-0 winners at Portuguese Club, while St Clement drew 1-1 with mid-table Jersey Nomads.
