Hartlepool 1-1 MK Dons

James Poole scored on his return to the Hartlepool side but MK Dons hit back to secure a draw.

Luke Chadwick struck the woodwork for the visitors early on, only for Poole, who missed two months with a hamstring injury, to head in the opener.

Jay O'Shea nodded the leveller after the break from Shaun Williams's cross.

Chadwick hit the post again after the equaliser, but the game petered out with neither side looking likely to grab a winner.

We rode our luck at times - Cooper

"It was a very hard-working point against a very good side. i'd been told about them prior to today and they didn't disappoint.

"I think they're one of the best teams we've had to play since I came back, all over the pitch.

"We had to hang on at the end, having gone down to 10 men due to me using all the substitutions, and were very much under the cosh but we dug in deep today."
