East Fife 2-2 Brechin City

Robert Sloan scored twice but missed a late penalty as East Fife drew at home with Brechin City.

Paul McManus was on hand to fire home Bryan Hodge's cross and give Brechin a 21st-minute lead.

Sloan converted his first penalty attempt four minutes later after Paul McLean had fouled Scott Dalziel.

David McKenna restored Brechin's lead on 34 minutes with a shot from the edge of the area but Sloan's free-kick levelled matters again before the break.

East Fife were awarded a second penalty in the closing stages following Craig Molloy's challenge on Ryan Wallace but, on this occasion, Sloan was foiled by goalkeeper Craig Nelson.
