Internationals 'killing' Premier League
- From the section Football
Manchester City's leading football administrator Brian Marwood believes that the demands placed upon players from international commitments are in danger of "killing" the Premier League.
He points to the recent African Cup of Nations as an example of how the international calendar is damaging the domestic game.
Marwood is please with the progress City have made this season and the former Arsenal midfielder believes there's "a calmness" about the club as they enter the last 11 games of the season still harbouring hopes of winning the title.
