Rotherham 1-0 Hereford

Hereford remain rooted to the bottom of the Football League after a disappointing defeat at Rotherham.

Bulls goalkeeper David Cornell saved well from Ben Pringle and Alex Revell headed over from Lewis Grabban's cross as the hosts threatened early on.

Grabban was quick off the mark to nip in and head Sam Wood's cross over Cornell and into the net.

Revell fired wide after the break while the visitors could only offer a wayward Richard Peniket header.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Rotherham United caretaker manager Darren Patterson told BBC Radio Sheffield:

Rotherham dominated - Patterson

"We bossed the game from start to finish.

"I thought we started excellently. You couldn't ask for a better start and really, in the first 15 minutes, we should have been two or three up.

"We feel we should be scoring from them (corners). The deliveries are first class, they're just begging to be attacked.

"We've done a lot of work on it and feel that's going to come, if we keep doing what we're doing."

Hereford manager Richard O'Kelly told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

We let Millers dictate - O'Kelly

"At times there were spells when we didn't have the ball yet we still seemed to be in control of what was happening.

"But there were times in the first half when we let them dictate the play and when you let the opposition do that there's always the chance you can look at things afterwards and say: 'We could have avoided that goal'.

"It was a scrappy game, but from their point of view it was good pressure, a good ball in and a good little run.

"From our point of view it was poor previous to the goal and poor defending at the time."
