Crystal Palace 0-3 Nott'm Forest
Radoslaw Majewski's second-half hat-trick moved Forest six points clear of the Championship relegation zone.
Majewski's first was the pick of his three goals as he hit a superb volley past Julian Speroni after connecting with Guy Moussi's pinpoint pass.
On 72 minutes, Majewski collected Garath McCleary's pass before swivelling and firing a low shot home.
Chris Gunter's pass provided the set up for the third goal, with Majewski once more turning and firing past Speroni.
Majewski and Dexter Blackstock had early chances, before Owen Garvan responded for Palace by driving powerfully across Lee Camp's goalmouth, while Glenn Murray rounded off a promising end to the first half for the hosts by blasting narrowly over the bar.
However Palace's good work before half-time failed to carry over the break as Forest took the lead in the 53rd minute.
Majewski found himself perfectly placed to connect with Guy Moussi's pass and smash beyond Speroni with a wonderful goal.
Palace manager Freedman opted to shuffle his pack as his side failed to respond to Majewski's goal, Chris Martin replacing Scannell and David Wright leaving the field for Jonathan Williams on the hour mark.
But those changes had no impact as winger McCleary deceived the Palace defence to supply Majewski, who turned before shooting home for his second goal.
The Pole completed his hat-trick following a move that echoed the build-up to his second goal, collecting Gunter's slide-rule pass before swiveling and firing confidently across Speroni.
