Euro exit key to Fulham wins - Jol
- From the section Football
Fulham boss Martin Jol says his side's 2-1 defeat of Wigan is down to being "well prepared" - and not playing in the Europa League.
Jol's side climbed to ninth in the Premier League after the win at Craven Cottage and, he says, being out of Europe has "paid off" with better league results.
Wigan took the lead through Emmerson Boyce's fierce drive but a Pavel Pogrebnyak goal soon after and an 89th-minute Philippe Senderos winner gave Fulham the points.
