Ivory Coast legend Bialy dies
Former Ivory Coast midfielder Ernest Kallet Bialy has died in Abidjan at the age of 68 after a long illness.
Kallet Bialy was one of the emblematic figures of Ivorian football in the 1960s and 1970s.
A strong character, he was blessed with superb technique and remarkable vision, earning him the nickname 'Doctor' for his elegant midfield displays.
Playing at inside-right, Kallet Bialy was the playmaker for Africa Sports, the Ivory Coast's most famous club alongside Asec Mimosas.
He won three national titles with Africa Sports, in 1967, 1968, and 1971.
He was a member of the Ivory Coast team that came third at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ethiopa in 1968 and also played for the side that finished in fourth place in the 1970 tournament in Sudan.
