A couple of years ago my son came running in saying we should buy Balotelli, I'm so glad my team didn't, talented yes but overall more problems that he's worth.
Well said Brooksy (145).The other point I'm struggling with is all the people claiming he has no talent. Obviously blind City haters (very fashionable, but very, very dull), people who have never consistently watched him play but like having a go (genuinely pathetic) or poor souls who have absolutely NO idea about football (more excusable).
What people seem to be missing here is that most of the stories about him were made up by the media. So when people call him an idiot etc, full of himself etc etc, they are basing it on false stories. Obviously he can be reckless on the pitch, and only chooses to play now and then, but so many footballers do that. dont get why he gets so much attention. ALMOST EVERYTHING SAID ABOUT HIM IS UNTRUE!
He is a disgrace to football, and his "talent" does not deserve this much attention.
amazing what one sliced finish at a world cup can do!!!he aims for the top left hits the top right and that is the closest he ever got to being good!
my main problem with him is he is just not that good a player. I think the off the field stuff and stupid things on the field at time are not covering up/holding back a great great player, they are actually blinding people from noticing that mario is actually a pretty average player. If his attitude was right I dont think he would even make a top clubs squad!
He has a talent though : the one of being universally disliked. It really takes a lot to do that. He doesn't deserve any of the money he is getting, he is indeed a punishment sent to us, because I work everyday to make a living for my family and earn less than 1% of what a brainless jerk like Balotelli earns in one month.
The only myth is that this lad actually has talent. It goes to show how far you can get on confidence alone, living and breathing your own legend and watching sheep like pillocks (the media) lap it up and with no real proof whatsoever believe it themselves. But for the odd flick, touch or finish here and there he has done nothing more than any other player from league 2 upwards is capable of
Good riddance, an average player with a propensity to try a injure fellow players. It's a miracle the guy can stand up unaided given his iq is less than his shoe size.
136squirrelhey you got your nuts mixed up i support united
sick of hearing about him, flashes of genius but WAY more trouble than he's worth, sometimes totally anonymous, over-rated....bye mario, don't hurry back!
@117"then of course mancini had first chance at RVP , but fergie signed him"Mancini had no chance of signing rvp cos he didnt want to play for city. They have the cash and probably offered him more than united but he wanted to be a legend not a mercenary
Feel sorry for the lad. If anyone should have been sold ..correction, SACKED, its Teves. At least Balotelli turned up for training everyday while he was sunning hiself for 6 months back home. Well and truly screwed by his manager.
Marioiwas hounded out of England by the British media, fuelled by an impatient and often unsupportive manager. With Mario gone, Man City is no longer appealing to me.. a neutral.
This is cultural diversity... what a joke, an arrogant overpaid average footballer who is good at drawing attention to himself... he should never be allowed on a British football pitch again
He encapsulates all that is wrong in the modern game for me. A petulant child who uses football like a toy. Never rated his football ability either. Good riddance.....
As a United fan im not sure if im glad or not...He was pretty useless for city so its bad for us he left as they may now actually get someone who contributes.however i can now 'like' mario seeing as he is no longer a city player.
