Wolves: Eggert Jonsson has contract cancelled at Molineux

Wolves have parted company with Icelandic midfielder Eggert Jonsson after agreeing to cancel his contract.

The 24-year-old, former manager Mick McCarthy's final signing, still had two years to run on his existing deal.

But he played just seven Wolves games after signing on a three-and-a-half-year deal from Hearts in January 2012.

The Iceland international last played for Wolves in August 2012, making one start when he went out on loan to Charlton Athletic in November.
