Dartford 1-0 Alfreton Town
Debutant Adam Birchall's goal ensured Dartford got their league season off to a winning start.
Birchall finished well with his left foot to give his side a lead which they had to fight hard to hold on to.
Alfreton's Tom Shaw and Josh Law both went close in quick succession shortly after Birchall went close to adding his and Dartford's second.
Dartford keeper Alan Julian denied Danny Wishart, while Birchall saw another late effort blocked.

Alfreton boss Nicky Law told BBC Radio Derby:
"One bit of misfortune in the first half cost us a result. I thought we were in total control of the game. Credit to the lad, he's made a run and tried to turn and he got a bit of a ricochet off Chris Westwood. Maybe Bradley Wood then needs to come out and stop the shot.
"So, disappointed to concede the goal, but we came out in the second half, but we failed to work the keeper and we failed to hit the target. We're getting caught offside from diagonal balls and we're letting teams off the hook.
"But I still don't think there was a great deal between the two teams. Just the one goal and obviously we're disappointed to have come away from home, looked comfortable, create chances and not hit the target."
