Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 Cheltenham Town
Wycombe loanee Billy Knott deflected a Sam Deering cross into his own net to give Cheltenham victory.
After an even opening, Jamie Cureton put the visitors in front from Jason Taylor's cross.
The hosts levelled shortly afterwards when substitute striker Matt McClure produced a quality finish when Knott's cross broke to him.
But parity was short-lived as Deering's cross struck Knott to leave Chairboys' Matt Ingram without a chance.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"It was a poor performance by ourselves. We definitely didn't do enough to win the game.
"It looked like we had a bit of a hangover from Tuesday which is something you can't do when games are coming thick and fast. You've got to get over defeats.
"I was disappointed with many of the players today and I've let them know.
"This is League Two. You can beat teams in League Two if you're organised and you're passionate and can get at them. But we didn't do those things today."
Cheltenham Town manager Mark Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"We owed that win to everybody. We owed it to ourselves, the supporters and the club.
"There's 30 games to go and we've just ticked one of them off with three points with a good away performance and I thought we were the better side.
"We looked a constant threat all day and we were disappointed at half-time to not have converted.
"They had a few chances in the second half but I thought we were good winners today.
"We've got quality, endeavour and hard work in the squad. We're four unbeaten now [in the league] and it's a dressing room that you want to be in."
