Bristol Rovers 1-1 Bury
Bristol Rovers shared the points with Bury after failing to build on an early penalty.
John-Joe O'Toole struck from the spot when Shaun Beeley mistimed his challenge on Eliot Richards.
But Beeley was redeemed when he delivered a cross from the right and Danny Hylton converted from close in.
Bury's Shaun Harrad headed onto the crossbar after the break, having fired over with the goal at his mercy in the first half, but could not find the net.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Bristol Rovers manager John Ward told BBC Radio Bristol:
"We've tried really hard. It sounds a bit school boy, but I cannot grumble about how hard the boys have tried.
"We got a lovely start with a decision before the game's really got going. We've tucked it away and then we've been on the back foot
"To be fair to them, they took the game to us throughout the first half. They were very strong and knocked us about a little bit and we found that difficult to stand up to.
"But after half-time we regrouped and became the better team. It was one of those football matches really."
