Hughes says sackings 'a real shame'

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says the sackings of Steve Clarke and Andre Villas-Boas are "a real shame" and that clubs find it "all too easy" to dismiss their manager.

Hughes believes that Manchester United and Arsenal prove the theory that managerial continuity breeds success.

Stoke, who have had just one defeat in their last eight games in all competitions, take on United at the Britannia Stadium in their Capital One Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.
