Huddersfield Town 1-1 Derby County
Derby County's seven-match winning run came to an end after Martin Paterson's late equaliser for Huddersfield.
The Rams were on course for an eighth straight win when Craig Bryson put them ahead with a tap-in.
But Paterson lobbed keeper Lee Grant from just inside the area three minutes from time following substitute Duane Holmes's through ball.
Derby missed a penalty when Alex Smithies saved Chris Martin's attempt when the game was goalless.
Despite conceding late, County are now unbeaten in eight games and well placed to challenge for an automatic promotion spot.
Huddersfield, who are 14th in the Championship table, are without a win in four but have drawn their last two games.
The game burst into life after 26 minutes when a penalty was awarded for a foul by Huddersfield substitute Joel Lynch on Jamie Ward.
But Smithies, making his 200th appearance for the Terriers, dived low to his left to parry Martin's spot-kick.
Steve McClaren's side took the lead four minutes later, midfielder Bryson scoring for the fourth successive game with a tap-in.
Huddersfield substitute Holmes created chances for Danny Ward and Adam Clayton before the hosts levelled.
Holmes played a one-two with Clayton and then set up Paterson for his stunning lob.
Huddersfield manager Mark Robins:
"I thought we were good value for a point.
"Derby are not just one of the best teams in the division, they're one of the best in the country at the moment.
"I was glad when we were only 1-0 down at the break. We changed a few things and it got us back in the game."
Derby manager Steve McClaren:
"The first half was the best we've played in terms of controlling a match and chances created. We knew at half-time that 1-0 wouldn't be enough as Huddersfield would look to take risks to get back in the game.
"I think we lost a bit of impetus when Will Hughes had to go off but overall I'm pleased with how we played.
"Huddersfield are a good side, especially at home, and it was a tough battle. We had to dig in in the second half and grind out a result."
