Cheltenham Town 1-0 Exeter City

Cheltenham Town sealed three points against a determined Exeter side as they stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games in League Two.

The home side were ahead early in the first half when Jamie Cureton struck the ball home against his former club.

Robins keeper Scott Brown then kept out a David Wheeler effort before palming away Tom Nichols' fierce drive.

There were late chances at both ends as Cureton and Exeter's Alan Gow both hit the post but Cheltenham held on to win.

Post-match: Cheltenham boss Yates

"I'm not angry or disappointed in my players but I just said to them - excellent first half, second half nowhere near.

"It was a Jamie Cureton goal, I thought he could have had a couple more to be fair but you know that if you give him a chance he's going to take it.

"Jason Taylor has been a massive part of our mini revival. His work rate and his effort and his commitment towards the cause is always there, I think people are just starting to see it over the last 10 games.

"You get a little but of luck at times but I think we've earned that luck. It's about time we had a little bit and my dad bought me a new shirt for Christmas and I'm going to wear it again on Sunday."
