Aldershot Town 3-1 Welling United

Aldershot came from a goal behind to beat 10-man Welling and move clear of the Conference Premier relegation zone.

Ross Lafayette poked the visitors in front after the break.

Brett Williams levelled from the spot after Blaine Hudson was sent off for a foul on Joe Oastler in the area.

Aiden O'Brien's deflected shot beat Welling keeper Lee Butcher and the Millwall loanee headed home from Adam Mekki's free-kick to seal the points for the Shots.

Post-match: Aldershot boss Scott

"We wanted a response today and again we came from behind. We then started believing in what we were doing and we created a few chances and in the end we were very comfortable.

"We always say that we only play as well as our front players and that's not just scoring goals. That's about work rate, getting hold of the ball and bringing others into play.

"You need everybody on the pitch performing at the right level to get the wins and it's all about winning three points and climbing up the league.

"If we get personal accolades along the way with the front players scoring the goals then great."
