Milton Keynes Dons 0-0 Colchester United
Colchester's on-loan goalkeeper Sam Walker made a string of saves to earn his side a draw against MK Dons.
Borrowed from Chelsea, the stopper denied both Patrick Bamford and Dale Jennings in the first half.
Tom Eastman wasted the away side's best chance when he headed straight at Dons goalkeeper David Martin following Luke Garbutt's free-kick.
Walker superbly diverted Stephen Gleeson's effort onto the woodwork late on to preserve a point for his side.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"We deserved a lot more than a draw but credit to Colchester, they came here with a game plan and they stuck to it.
"We were patient, moved the ball quickly, and looked good at times. We were far superior and that's not being disrespectful to the opposition.
"We've got to take the positives out of a clean sheet and the number of chances we created.
"Their goalkeeper has made as good a save as I've seen for a long time to keep out Stephen Gleeson as well."
Colchester United manager Joe Dunne for BBC Essex:
"It was a hard-earned point. We rode our luck times, but I felt overall we had players playing well in the positions that we needed to.
"The game plan was to try and frustrate and hold them as long as we could and try and nick something on the break. For us it was a good point.
"Sam [Walker] when needed was reliable. His saves were exceptional, a lot of the shots were limited to long range, but he saw them late and his reflexes were very good.
"But you need your goalkeeper to play well at places like this and he did, so we're grateful for it."
