Wrexham 0-0 FC Halifax Town
Veteran striker Brett Ormerod was sent off as Wrexham drew with Halifax.
Ormerod headed over the crossbar in the opening exchanges of a first half with few chances for either side.
The 37-year-old was given his marching orders after referee Martin Coy showed him a red card for fighting just before half-time at the Racecourse Ground.
Andy Bishop headed wide for Wrexham after the break and Lois Maynard did likewise for Halifax as the visitors almost won it late on.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell told BBC Radio Wales:
"The sending off changes the game a little bit, because it is fairly even in the first half.
"Both teams weren't fantastic with the ball and the pitched helped that a little bit, but it was fairly even.
"We started off really well, had a couple of chances early but they grew into the game.
"Then Brett gets sent off and it changes the game completely and in the second half we had to chuck bodies in the way.
"There wasn't a great save from either goalkeeper but we defended really well.
"I challenged our defenders to get more clean sheets and I am pleased we have got a point and come out with something."
