Hammers showed character - McDonald

West Ham Assistant Manager Neil McDonald says his players showed "tremendous character" to beat Cardiff 2-0 at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Goals from Carlton Cole and Mark Noble helped the visitors grab all three points and helped ease the pressure on boss Sam Allardyce.

The win moves West Ham out of the relegation zone, at the expense of their Welsh opponents.
