Montrose 0-0 Stirling Albion

Stirling Albion failed to put pressure on promotion rivals Annan and Clyde following a goalless draw at Montrose.

Mick O'Byrne headed an effort off the Montrose crossbar in the first half.

Alan Campbell forced a solid save out of Binos keeper David Crawford after 70 minutes with a fierce shot then the Gable Endies almost scored when Terry Masson rifled a vicious effort over.

Stirling came close with a Craig Comrie free-kick that flashed over the crossbar six minutes from time.

The Binos remain in fourth, five points behind second-placed Clyde.
