Torrential rain forces the referee to abandon the Irish Cup sixth round match between Ballinamallard and Glenavon at Ferney Park.

The Irish Cup tie between Ballinamallard United and Glenavon is abandoned as heavy rain makes playing conditions impossible.

Heavy and persistent rain left the Ferney Park pitch flooded and referee Mervyn Smyth called it off with the teams level on 0-0 after 32 minutes.

Glenavon had missed a chance to take the lead when Brian McCaul struck the post with a penalty.
