Falkirk preserved their slim Scottish Championship title hopes with victory over 10-man Dumbarton.

David McCracken headed Mark Millar's corner into the net to give the Bairns a first-half lead.

And Roy Loy beat the offside trap to coolly slot home Falkirk's clincher in the second half.

The Sons had Hugh Murray sent off for a second bookable offence, completing a miserable evening for Ian Murray's side.

Falkirk remain nine points behind leaders Dundee.
