Brentford 2-0 Stevenage
Championship-bound Brentford ended their excellent season on a high with a win over bottom club Stevenage.
After a goalless first half, the Bees took the lead when Marcello Trotta slid home Nico Yennaris' low cross.
It was not a one-sided affair however and goalkeeper David Button was called into action to deny Michael Doughty.
Stuart Dallas hit the bar for Brentford before Alan Judge was played through by Jake Reeves to add a deserved second goal late on.
Stevenage Manager Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"I thought for 75 minutes we played very well. I think the side were set up to deal with them defensively, we worked hard at our jobs and I think we knew it was going to be an afternoon for a counter-attacking game.
"When you've got one or two young players in the side there's a danger that concentration levels or fitness levels can fall. However, the experienced lads respected them and they pulled their shirts on.
"Ryan (Johnson) in particular was a beacon and shone out for me. I thought he was strong, he was disciplined, he was organised and he did his job. He looked very comfortable.
"You've got to be prepared to really do it for each other. And we are where we are because we haven't done it for each other. This is a time when we can wipe the slate clean and move on."
