MK Dons have handed a new two-year deal to midfielder Ben Reeves, who joined on a 12-month contract last summer.

The League One side held the option to extend the 22-year-old's existing deal, but have chosen to hand him fresh terms until 2016.

He joined from Southampton and went on to score on his debut, before finishing the season with 11 goals in 35 games.

"It's great news for the club," Dons boss Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio.

"I wasn't going to let his contract run out. It shows tremendous foresight and planning.

"He's got the challenge of scoring more goals than last season. Ben's technical ability means he can play as high as he want."
