Premier League predictions: Lawro v ex-Tottenham star Ossie Ardiles

BBC Sport expert Mark Lawrenson

BBC Sport's football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

His opponent for this weekend's Premier League fixtures is former Tottenham star Ossie Ardiles.

Ardiles was known for his cavalier approach during his time as Spurs boss in the mid-1990s, when he fielded his 'Famous Five' forward line of Jurgen Klinsmann, Teddy Sheringham, Ilie Dumitrescu, Darren Anderton and Nick Barmby.

That Spurs side scored and conceded plenty of goals and Ardiles is tipping Manchester United - who currently have a similar ethos - to have the sort of high-scoring encounter with Everton on Sunday that used to be his trademark.

Ardiles also backs Spurs to see off Southampton, and thinks Chelsea - who are his tip for the Premier League title - will win their west-versus-north London derby against Arsenal.

You can see all of Ossie's predictions on Football Focus at 12:10 BST on Saturday on BBC One and the BBC Sport website.

A correct result (picking a win, draw or defeat) is worth ONE point. Getting the exact score correct earns THREE points.

Last weekend, Lawro got seven correct results from 10 Premier League games, with one perfect score. His total of nine points was his best so far this season and saw him beat Peaky Blinders actor Joe Cole, who got five correct results with no perfect scores, for a tally of five.

We're keeping a record of the totals for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (at the bottom of the page).
