BBC Sport - Tony Pulis 'risked reputation' to join Crystal Palace

Joining Palace was a risk - Pulis

Former Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis says he risked his reputation when he agreed to take over at Selhurst Park as the club were bottom of the league and had never survived for more than a season in the Premier League.

Pulis retained his record of having never been relegated as a manager, and won the manager of the year award after finishing 11th, but left Palace 48 hours before the start of the season.

Watch the full interview conducted by former Stoke player Danny Higginbotham on Football Focus, Saturday 25 October, 12:10 BST on BBC One, BBC One HD and the BBC Sport website.
