Manager Allan Johnston expects a reaction from Kilmarnock against Ross County next week after slipping to a 3-1 defeat at home to Dundee.

The Ayrshire outfit had won three of their last four games going into Saturday's match.

"We've got to have a reaction now, we have a massive game next week and we've got to win," Johnston told BBC Radio Scotland.

"We need to pick ourselves up and make sure we're ready for the next one."

Slack play from Johnston's team allowed Greg Stewart and David Clarkson to send Dee 2-0 up before Alexei Eremenko replied.

r, Stewart netted his second of the game late on.

"The boys never gave up, right to the very end," added Johnston.

"I'm disappointed in the way we lost the goals, especially the first two - we had the ball, gave it away and they hit us on the counter attack.

"We have to make sure we keep the ball better, because we have been doing that since the start of the season.

"If you look at the chances throughout the game we probably had the better chances and more possession, but they hurt us with the final ball."
