BBC Sport - Steve Burr: Chester manager Steve Burr on defeat at Macclesfield

Burr on Macclesfield v Chester

Chester manager Steve Burr tells BBC Radio Merseyside's Neil Turner that no team of his has ever played better and lost in his side's 3-1 defeat at Macclesfield.

After having a goal disallowed, missing a penalty, hitting the post, seeing two cleared off the line and witnessing a man-of-the-match performance from home keeper Rhys Taylor, Chester were beaten by two goals in three first-half minutes - one of them a disputed penalty, the other a sensational 35-yarder.

"I've never been involved in a game quite like that, to play so well and lose," said Burr. "The penalty was against the run of play, then the lad hits an unbelievable strike. You could have had three keepers in and they wouldn't have saved it."
