Cardiff City: Adam Le Fondre will get goals says Sean Morrison
Cardiff City defender Sean Morrison is confident striker Adam Le Fondre will rediscover his goalscoring form as the pair prepare to face their former club Reading in the Welsh capital on Friday.
Both players moved to the Cardiff City Stadium in the summer.
Le Fondre, nicknamed "Alfie", has scored just once in 15 appearances for the Bluebirds.
"The goals will come for Alfie. He's a great player and a great goalscorer," said Morrison.
The 27-year-old scored 15 goals for Reading last season but after joining Cardiff was played in a wide role by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
New boss Russell Slade has played Le Fondre in a more central role but he has still struggled to find the net.
Morrison says his team-mate's confidence has not been affected.
"Alfie's not down at all no," said Morrison.
"He comes into training [and] does his work, he's brilliant everyday. I think you only start to worry when he's not getting in those positions.
"He's getting in those positions and it's not falling for him at the moment.
"His goal record tells you that he's scored at every level he's played at."
Cardiff are 12th in the Championship, two points above Reading who are 14th.
City are aiming to make it four home wins out of four under Slade and, despite facing his former club, Morrison insists it's ''just business.''
"The main objective when I came here was to get Cardiff promoted," he said.
"It's not about playing my old team and getting one over on them.
"It's nothing like that. It's another game and three points is all that matters."
