Striker Luke Rodgers has left Forest Green Rovers by mutual consent after less than a year at the New Lawn.

The 32-year-old arrived at Rovers in February after a spell playing for Hammarby in Sweden.

Rodgers made 21 appearances for the Conference outfit, with his final game coming in their 1-1 draw with Eastleigh on 11 November.

The forward's career has spanned 15 years, having started out at Shrewsbury Town in 1999.

He has also had spells with Crewe, Port Vale, Yeovil, Notts County, Portsmouth and the New York Red Bulls.
