Bolton Wanderers striker Joe Mason has been ruled out for up to two months after tearing a hamstring in training.

The 23-year-old is currently on a season-long loan from Championship rivals Cardiff City and has scored four times in 14 appearances this term.

"At this moment we're looking at between six and eight weeks," Trotters boss Neil Lennon told the club website.

Mason, a Republic of Ireland youth international, also had two loan spells at the Macron Stadium last season.
