Gillingham have agreed an undisclosed fee with Brentford for the transfer of Luke Norris to the League One club.

The 21-year-old joined the Gills on a two-year deal last summer, having turned down a new deal at Griffin Park.

Brentford were entitled to compensation for Norris, who has scored four goals in 23 appearances for the Kent club.

"We were pleased we could come to an agreement without needing to go to tribunal," Brentford academy director Ose Aibangee said.

Norris joined Brentford's youth set-up in 2010 on a scholarship and scored one goal in four outings for the west London club's first team.

"Both sides have agreed not to disclose it but I can tell Brentford fans that we are happy that we will be adequately compensated if Luke continues to develop," Aibangee added.

"We respected his decision to leave, although we wanted him to stay, and he is getting his chance in the first team at Gillingham."

Meanwhile, Charlton have recalled defender Harry Lennon from his loan spell at Priestfield Stadium.

The 20-year-old made two appearances during his time with the Gills.
