Long-serving Millwall defender Paul Robinson has left the Championship club after his contract was cancelled.

The 32-year-old came through the club's youth ranks and was given his first-team debut in November 2002.

Robinson, who scored the winning goal in the 2010 League One play-off final, made 362 appearances for the Lions.

"I have loved every single minute of playing for Millwall and want to thank all the fans for their support over the years," he told the club website.

"They have helped to give me the platform to achieve my dreams by wearing that Lion on my chest.

"It is unfortunate that my time at The Den has come to an end but I wish the manager, his coaching team, the board, the players and all the fans the very best of luck for the future."

Centre-back Robinson spent the first half of this season on loan at League Two side Portsmouth.
