Manager Keith Curle has said he wants to meet potential Carlisle United signings in person before talking about finances or offering terms.

The Cumbrians brought in striker Charlie Wyke and midfielder Anthony Griffith last week, but have two further targets in mind this window.

"I'm negotiating to find out their availability or willingness to talk to us," Curle told BBC Radio Cumbria.

"Some representatives want to talk money straight away."

He added: "My platform is, I know what the player can do, I want to find out mentally and character-wise whether I want to pursue the deal.

"The importance for ourselves in sitting down with players and representatives is right at the top of the list."

In addition to the brace of further potential arrivals at Brunton Park, Curle has brought forward Shaun Tuton in on trial from Buxton to play in a friendly against Newcastle on Tuesday.
