Murray Davidson and Chris Kane have signed new deals to extend their time at St Johnstone.

Midfielder Davidson, 26, has signed a contract keeping him at McDiarmid Park for the next two seasons while striker Kane's deal takes him up to May 2018.

Manager Tommy Wright said: "It's great news for everyone at the club and for the players themselves.

"To have them commit themselves to Saints for the foreseeable future is a great bonus."

Wright praised Davidson's hard work in fighting his way back into the first team after a serious knee injury, and described 20-year-old Kane as one of the club's "most promising youngsters".
