Tranmere Rovers 2-3 Dagenham & Redbridge

Dagenham & Redbridge beat struggling Tranmere in a high-scoring encounter.

The Daggers took the lead when veteran Jamie Cureton lobbed home before Dan Gardner curled home a fine equaliser for the hosts.

Ashley Hemmings smashed home a low shot to put the visitors back in front before Billy Bingham made it 3-1 with a wonderful long-range strike.

Cureton could have made the points safe before Max Power scored for Rovers and Janoi Donacien should have made it 3-3.

Dagenham & Redbridge first-team coach Warren Hackett told to BBC London 94.9:

Hackett on Tranmere v Dagenham

"We knew it was going be very tough against Tranmere. They are one of the teams around us and it was vital that we came away with a positive result.

"The first goal is textbook Jamie Cureton, he drops his shoulder and gets beyond defenders - you've seen it over the years many times. The other goals were fantastic.

"At 3-1 there was still hope and fair play to Tranmere, they threw the kitchen sink at us as you'd expect them to do as they're in a precarious position. But at the end of the day we held firm."
