Action from the final between Edmund Rice College and Grosvenor Grammar

Ten-man Edmund Rice College won the Belfast Senior Schools' Cup by beating Grosvenor Grammar 2-1 at Ballyskeagh.

Central defender Daniel Larmour turned and curled a right-foot shot into the bottom corner from 12 yards in the 12th minute to give Grosvenor the lead.

Jack McAlinden replied with a 35-yard free-kick which bounced over the goalkeeper's head after 34 minutes.

Robert McVarnock was sent-off for a stamp on the hour and Oran Johnston fired in the winner nine minutes later.

After Larmour's opener, Dillon Whiteway went close to an equaliser, but his header went wide of the target.

McAlinden did restore parity but McVarnock's straight red card made Edmund Rice's task more difficult.

Grosvenor began to dominate possession but Johnston nipped in front of a defender and tucked the ball home for what proved to be the winning goal.

Kevin Skelly twice went close to extending his side's lead in the latter stages.
