Carlisle United have extended the loan of midfielder Paul Corry from Sheffield Wednesday until midnight on Saturday, 2 May - the final game of the season.

Corry, 24, had been on a month-long initial loan from the Owls, and has since played five games, scoring once.

The former Republic of Ireland under-21 international joined Wednesday in August 2012 from Irish club UCD.

"We've seen what Paul brings to the squad and we have seen how well he can use the ball," boss Keith Curle said.

He told the club website: "We're delighted that he's staying with us because he is very professional in his approach and he wants to help us as much as he can."
