Sixth-placed Derry City will hope to close the five-point gap on fourth-placed Bohemians when the sides meet in the Premier Division at the Brandywell.

Candystripes manager Peter Hutton has skipper Ryan McBride back after a ban while Seamus Sharkey and Aaron Barry are very doubtful for Friday's game.

"Bohs are well drilled and well organised. They don't give much away.

"They have surprised a few people this season and we're expecting a very tough, physical game," said Hutton.

"A lot of pundits did not expect them to be where they are at the moment but they have vastly experienced players and strength in depth.

"We will take encouragement from the win over Limerick and try to impose ourselves.

"We must try to stay on the coat-tails of those in front of us and with fixtures against Bohs, Longford and Galway coming up, it's important we try to stay in the top half of the table.

"Bohs haven't conceded a goal in their travels all year and they'll try to get us on the counter, but it's important to beat the teams around you."
