Wigan captain Emmerson Boyce is unsure if he will be at the club next season.

The Latics defender, 35, is the longest-serving player in the squad, but his future could depend on what division Gary Caldwell's side are in.

Wigan will be relegated to League One on Tuesday if Rotherham avoid defeat in their game against Reading.

"I don't know (about next year). You've got to ask the chairman, ask the manager to see what my future holds," Boyce told BBC Radio Manchester.

"What will be, will be. I've had a great time here and if it's my last game on Saturday then so be it.

"I can't answer that until next Saturday see what league we're in and fingers crossed we can take it from there."

Boyce joined Wigan for £1m in 2006 from Crystal Palace and the former Luton man has gone onto make 297 appearances.
