AFC Telford United have appointed former Newcastle United and Birmingham City midfielder Chris Holland as their new assistant manager.

Holland, 39, has worked with Bucks boss Steve Kittrick before at Guiseley.

Telford have also made two more signings, goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe and defender Ben Harrison.

Holland happy to make Telford move

Springthorpe, 20, who cost Everton £125,000 when he signed from Telford's neighbours Shrewsbury Town in February 2011, has been released by Fleetwood.

Centre-half Harrison, 24, has signed from Evo-Stik Premier League side Nantwich Town.

Telford will be playing in the newly-renamed National League North next season, having been relegated from the top flight of non-league football for the second time in three seasons.
