Braintree Town have announced the signing of Chelmsford City striker Michael Cheek.

The 23-year-old scored 32 goals in 66 games for the Conference South side.

Meanwhile, Braintree captain Kenny Davis, 27, and strikers Jordan Cox, 22, and Sean Marks, 29, have all signed new deals with the club for 2015-16.

"Michael Cheek was the best all-round forward in the Conference South last year," new Iron boss Danny Cowley told the club website.

"Kenny Davis has established himself as one of the best midfield players in non-league football and is a massive part of our football club.

"Jordan Cox has unbelievable potential. We see Sean Marks as being both a vital player and character within the group."

Braintree finished 14th in the Conference in 2014-15 and will have Cowley in charge next term after parting company with former manager Alan Devonshire.
