Aldershot captain Glenn Wilson has left the club after turning down a new deal.

The 29-year-old defender made 48 appearances for the Conference side last season, scoring two goals.

"He was made an offer but he's got every right to talk to other clubs if he feels the offer wasn't enough," boss Barry Smith told the club website.

"Every player has his worth and Glenn might decide he wants to come back. The door is open at the moment but it's up to him to sign it or turn it down."

Wilson, who has also played for Crawley, joined the Shots from Salisbury City last summer after they were expelled by the league.
