Derry City midfielder Seanan Clucas returns from suspension for Monday night's Premier Division clash against Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium.

However, defender Mark Timlin is banned for the match while injury rules out captain Ryan McBride.

City were beaten 3-0 by St Pat's Athletic on Friday night and have picked up only two points from their last six games.

"We have to remain positive and dust ourselves down from Friday's match," said Derry manager Peter Hutton.

The defeat saw the Candystripes, who have won just three of their 15 league fixtures, drop down one place to ninth in the standings.

They face a Rovers outfit sitting third and boasting an unbeaten record in the league this season.

"It's always difficult going to Tallaght - they are a formidable side, particularly at home," added Hutton.

"Rovers are similar to St Pat's in that they have a lot of experience in their squad and know how to manage games.

"We must learn from our mistakes. The three goals we conceded against St Pat's were preventable."
