Portsmouth defender Adam Webster has agreed a new two-year deal with the League Two club.

The 20-year-old, who is the longest serving first-team player at Fratton Park, made 18 appearances last season.

The academy graduate made his debut aged just 17 in a Championship match against West Ham in January 2012.

Meanwhile, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire reports that Pompey are set to sign 23-year-old defender Christian Burgess from League One side Peterborough.

The two clubs have agreed a fee for the former Middlesbrough player, who will now undergo a medical before completing his move.
